Samak Located in Summit County Utah

Samak is a census-designated place in Summit County, Utah. Samak is surrounded by the scenic Wasatch Mountains and Uintas Mountains and located at elevations of over 6,800 feet.

According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, Samak has a population of over 160 people. The community has a total area of 4.7 square miles with a low population density of just over 30 people per square mile.

The racial demographics of Samak are predominately white accounting for about 99% of the population.

Samak has more than 70 households. The median income for a household in the CDP is $40,938, and the median income for a family is $55,938.

Samak is home to the famous local Samak Store and Smoke House, where visitors stop by for a great homemade meal before heading into the Uintas Mountains.

Summit County is located in northeastern Utah and is surrounded by eight counties, including two counties from Wyoming. Summit County is part of the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Summit County has a population of about 30,000 residents living in 1,882 square miles of land of which 11 square miles is water. The county is mostly occupied by a mountainous terrain and includes 39 of the highest peaks in Utah. The Wasatch Range and Uinta Mountains dominate the landscape of Summit County and are popular attractions for outdoor activities.

Summit County is home to four cities, two towns, five census designated places and three unincorporated communities. The County seat is Coalville and the largest community is Park City, a major ski resort town.
